This Avocado Cilantro Sauce is deliciously creamy and flavorful! It is full of fresh ingredients and is extremely versatile. It goes perfectly with countless dishes and is so quick and easy to make. If you love avocados you will love this sauce!
Preparation and Storage
One of the best parts about this sauce is that it only take a few minutes to make. Just add all of your ingredients to a food processor and blend until it is smooth and creamy.
If you have any leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. The lime will help keep the sauce fresh; just give it a quick stir before serving.
What to Serve Avocado Cilantro Sauce With
Our favorite dish to go with this sauce is our Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos, but it is also delicious with so many other meals. Try it with burgers, wraps, quesadillas, tacos, salads. The possibilities are practically endless! If we ever have any leftovers, we like to finish the sauce by using it as a dip for tortilla chips.
Substitutions and Variations
Jalapeño – Since the jalapeño is deseeded, it adds flavor rather than spice. If you would like the sauce to be spicy, add in some of the seeds. You may also completely omit the jalapeño and the sauce will still be delicious.
Sour cream – I have used both full fat sour cream and light sour cream (50% less fat). They are equally as tasty but in my opinion the full fat sour cream makes the sauce slightly thicker.
Lime juice – Freshly squeezed lime juice is definitely preferable but if you only have bottled lime juice that is fine! I’d recommend doing about 1/2 tablespoon if using bottled lime juice.
