Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m the recipe developer and photographer behind The Collins Cookbook.
Not only do I love food, but I also love cooking food. When I was younger, I always wanted to help in the kitchen. Even when I was too short to reach the counters, I would stand on my own personalized stool so that I could be involved. As I’ve gotten older, my love of cooking has never faded and I now use this little corner of the internet to share all of my favorite recipes that I have created or have had passed down.
A Little Bit About Me
- I grew up in the beautiful town of Jupiter, Florida and moved to Orlando, Florida to attend college.
- My first job in Orlando was as a hostess at a seafood restaurant. I enjoyed being in the kitchen so much, though, that before the restaurant would open, I would help prep and cut food just for fun.
- I worked at a theme park and was on my department’s flag football team, which is how I met my husband, Mike.
- After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Event Management, I worked in Catering Sales and Event Management at a resort on Disney property.
- My husband and I now live in South Carolina with our two dogs, Kona and Indy, and our cat, Kirby.
